Sony postpones PlayStation Store Chilean peso transition to 2027

Sony has announced a delay in the transition of the PlayStation Store to Chilean pesos. The update, which was intended to allow users to view prices, complete transactions, and receive receipts in local currency instead of US dollars, is now expected to take place in early 2027.

As a result of this postponement, the scheduled maintenance period previously set for October 5 to October 8, 2026, will not occur in Chile. The company stated that the PlayStation Store will continue to operate normally during that time and no action is required from users.

PlayStation confirmed it is still working on the implementation of the local currency and will provide further details at least 30 days before any future temporary store closures or maintenance periods necessary for the transition.
