Sony Raises PlayStation Plus Essential Subscription Prices

Sony announced that, starting May 20, the price of its PlayStation Plus Essential tier will increase. The 1‑month subscription will rise to $10.99 from $9.99, and the 3‑month option will go to $27.99 from $24.99. The change is attributed to “ongoing market conditions,” with Sony noting that existing subscribers will not be affected unless their plan changes or lapses, except in Turkey and India where the new pricing applies.

The price hike follows earlier increases to PS5 hardware and other Sony services earlier in the year.
