Sony terminates agreement with Ternox Games, delisting 13 titles
Sony Interactive Entertainment has unilaterally terminated its publishing and developer agreement with the Ukrainian indie studio Ternox Games. As a result, the studio's planned release of the popular stock market simulator, ‘STONKS-9800: Stock Market Simulator’, on PlayStation 5 has been canceled.
In addition to the cancellation of future projects, Sony is scheduled to delist 13 existing titles from the Ternox Games catalog on the PlayStation Store on August 23, 2026. These titles include Nexoria: Dungeon Rogue Heroes, Retro Highway, and Unichrome: A 1-Bit Unicorn Adventure, among others.
Ternox Games reported that Sony has not provided a formal reason for the termination and has allegedly been unresponsive to support inquiries. While Sony has recently been conducting a purge of ‘shovelware’ and low-quality content from its digital storefront, the studio maintains that its titles, particularly STONKS-9800, have received high praise and positive reviews on other platforms like Steam.
