Reports indicate that Sony is continuing the development of a film adaptation based on the Jak and Daxter video game franchise. According to industry insider DanielRPK, the project has reportedly secured screenwriters Neil Widener and Gavin James, who previously worked on ‘A Minecraft Movie’.

Ruben Fleischer, the director of the ‘Uncharted’ film, is also expected to remain attached to the project as director. While details regarding the cast, plot, and release window remain unconfirmed, some previous rumors suggested a live-action approach with potential involvement from actors like Tom Holland and Chris Pratt.

Although the film project appears to be progressing, there have been no official announcements from Sony regarding a production timeline or casting.
