Sony signals higher price and flexible launch schedule for PlayStation 6

Sony has indicated that the upcoming PlayStation 6 will likely be priced higher than previous generations because the company will no longer sell its consoles at a loss. CEO Hideaki Nishino also said Sony will not align the PS6 launch with Microsoft’s Project Helix schedule for Xbox, which is expected around late 2027 or early 2028.
