Sony to publish Daba: Land of Water Scar in 2027

Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that the new Chinese action RPG, ‘Daba: Land of Water Scar’, is scheduled for release in spring 2027 on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.

Developed by Shanghai-based DarkStar Games, the title is a participant in the PlayStation China Hero Project. The game is set in a dying world where water is disappearing and massive pillars that once supported the sky have collapsed. Players control Adan, a clay being who must navigate diverse environments—including snowy ruins, deserts, and ancient cities—to collect fragments of fallen deities' souls.

The gameplay features a parry-focused combat system where Adan utilizes various weapons such as dual blades, hammers, and staves. The narrative centers on themes of destiny and ambition, as players make choices that determine whether the protagonist becomes a savior, a deity, or a destroyer amidst the spreading ‘Purple Plague’.
