Sony unveils multiple game titles and updates at June 2026 State of Play

Sony’s State of Play presentation on 2 June 2026 outlined the company’s 2026‑27 game slate and service plans. Highlights included a new single‑player title, Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games, slated for 15 September 2026, and the fighting game Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, launching 6 August 2026 with new characters Magneto, Green Goblin, Carnage and Dr Doom.

Other announced projects are God of War Laufey for PlayStation 5, focusing on the character Faye, and Until Dawn 2, a horror sequel set for 2027. Existing franchises received release windows: Control Resonant, Onimusha : Way of the Sword and Silent Hill : Downfall, all due by the end of 2026. Sony also confirmed Marathon’s second season and an Open Play Week (2‑9 June 2026) offering free access to its extraction‑shooter modes.

The service catalogue was refreshed with planned additions such as the fantasy survival open‑world Runescape : Dragonwilds and legacy titles for PlayStation Plus Premium. These announcements map Sony’s strategy toward first‑party releases and expanded subscription offerings for the current console generation.
