Sony unveils God of War: Laufey for PlayStation 5, PC release uncertain

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Santa Monica Studio officially revealed the next main‑line entry in the God of War franchise, titled God of War: Laufey, during a State of Play broadcast. The game will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and introduces a new playable protagonist, Faye (also called Laufey), whose story unfolds in a newly introduced realm called Everywhen where deities from multiple mythologies clash. A wishlist entry is already available in the PlayStation Store, but Sony has not announced a release window.

While the title is confirmed for consoles, there is currently no indication of a PC version. Recent speculation suggests Sony may limit this single‑player title to PlayStation platforms, especially as it plans its release calendar around other major launches such as Marvel’s Wolverine and the upcoming GTA 6 marketing campaign. Fans are awaiting further details on whether the game will eventually arrive on PC and on its exact launch date.
