Sony unveils high-end Walkman Signature Series players

Sony has introduced a new lineup of luxury digital music players under its Walkman Signature Series, specifically targeting audiophiles. The new models include the NW-WM1ZM3, the NW-WM1AM3, and the NW-ZX900.

The flagship NW-WM1ZM3 features a chassis made of 99.99% pure oxygen-free copper with gold plating to minimize electrical interference. It utilizes the S-Master HX digital amplifier and includes internal Kimber Kable wiring to maintain signal integrity. The intermediate NW-WM1AM3 utilizes an aluminum chassis with a copper back.

Technical specifications across the series include improved amplifiers, larger touchscreens, and battery life lasting up to 35 hours. The devices also feature a DSD Remastering Engine to convert digital audio files into high-sampling-frequency formats. Pricing for the series ranges from approximately $1,899 to $5,899 USD, with pre-orders available through authorized retailers.
