Sony unveils Grand Theft Auto VI limited-edition DualSense controllers

Sony and Rockstar Games have unveiled limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers for the PlayStation 5 to celebrate the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI. The two designs, a Black Limited Edition and a White Limited Edition, are inspired by the aesthetics of Vice City. The white model reflects the daytime atmosphere of bright beaches and pastel skies, while the black model captures the city's neon-lit nightlife. Both controllers feature an iridescent, color-shifting surface and molded palm-tree textures on the grips.

Pre-orders for the controllers are scheduled to begin on September 10, with an official launch on November 19, 2026, coinciding with the game's release. The recommended retail price is approximately $84.99. The controllers will utilize DualSense technologies such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to enhance the gameplay experience.

Recent details regarding Grand Theft Auto VI also highlight new gameplay mechanics. Rockstar North co-studio leader Rob Nelson noted that players will need to manage character attributes, such as sleep and physical training, through an in-game health app. Additionally, the game will feature a fuel management system for vehicles, though developers emphasized that refueling animations are designed to be brief to minimize gameplay interruption.
