Sony unveils major PlayStation 5 lineup at State of Play June 2026

Sony Interactive Entertainment hosted a 60‑minute State of Play event in June 2026, announcing a slate of new PlayStation 5 titles. Highlights included the next entry in the God of War series, **God of War Laufey**, featuring the character Faye in a post‑death adventure, and a sequel to the horror franchise **Until Dawn**, slated for 2027. Marvel‑related games were also showcased: a gameplay preview of **Marvel: Wolverine** and new playable characters—Magneto, Green Goblin and Carnage—in **Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls**, set to launch on 6 August.

The event also introduced several other releases such as **Ace Combat 8: Wings of the Ve**, **Control Resonant**, **Dune Awakening**, and a free‑to‑play week for **Marathon**. In addition, Great Ape Games revealed **The Lost Wild**, a dinosaur‑themed survival horror game backed by Annapurna Interactive, scheduled for 2027 on PS5 and PC.
