Sony unveils premium 1000X Collexion headphones and WF-1000XM6 earbuds

Sony has released a limited‑edition version of its flagship WH‑1000XM series, the 1000X Collexion. Priced at roughly RM2,799, the over‑ear model features a metal headband with a sandblasted matte finish, faux‑leather ear cups, and hand‑polished details. It offers the same noise‑cancellation technology as earlier models, adds a 360 Upmix spatial‑sound mode, and provides about 24 hours of battery life with ANC active. The design is non‑folding but comes in a sleek carrying case with two colour options – Platinum and Black.

The accompanying WF‑1000XM6 true‑wireless earbuds build on Sony’s 1000X line with a compact, matte‑finished design, IPX4 water resistance, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. Each earbud weighs around 5.8 g and houses a dynamic driver. Battery performance reaches up to 8 hours with active noise cancellation (12 hours without), while the charging case extends total runtime to roughly 36 hours. Quick‑charge and Qi wireless charging are supported, and users can customize touch controls via the Sony Headphones Connect app.
