Sony unveils True RGB BRAVIA 9 II and 7 II TVs with home cinema system

Sony announced the launch of its new BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II televisions, featuring the company's first True RGB back‑light technology. The system independently controls red, green and blue LEDs, delivering the widest colour volume ever claimed for Sony TVs, higher brightness and accurate colour reproduction even in bright rooms. The rollout also includes the BRAVIA Theatre Trio, a wireless three‑speaker audio system designed to provide cinematic sound for the new displays.

The products incorporate sustainability measures such as recycled materials and renewable plastic derived from used cooking oil, used in the rear cover and internal components of the BRAVIA 9 II. Pricing for the UK market starts at £22,999 for the 115‑inch BRAVIA 9 II model, with smaller sizes ranging from £3,499 to £5,499. Availability begins in July 2026, with the larger models arriving later in the year. Sony highlighted the integration of advanced features like Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, DTS and IMAX Enhanced, as well as dedicated modes for streaming services.
