The roll‑out was executed in regional waves, with the United States, United Kingdom and Japan receiving the new games earlier than most European markets.

European subscribers, particularly in France and Germany, reported having to wait several days for the same titles, prompting criticism on Reddit and other community forums. Users complained that the staggered timing, rather than the quality of the games, diminished the perceived value of the subscription and led to dedicated “PS+ Criticism” threads to manage the influx of complaints. Sony’s approach, while technically standard for digital licensing, has raised concerns about fairness and subscription satisfaction among its European fan base.
