Soonchunhyang University Bucheon Hospital creates healing space with art donation

Soonchunhyang University Bucheon Hospital has established a ‘healing space’ by receiving a donation of four artworks from Gallery Gomaru. The pieces are currently on display in the Gastroenterology Center and the Department of Pediatrics.

The donated works include a three-piece series titled ‘The Meaning of You’ by artist Jang Hee-jin, which uses light, darkness, and flowers to symbolize life and recovery, and ‘Pororo and Peach Blossom Spring’ by Gallery Gomaru Director Park Ji-yoon, which features the character Pororo to wish for the health and happiness of young patients.

Hospital Director Moon Jong-ho stated that a hospital should be a space that goes beyond physical treatment to comfort the hearts of patients and their guardians. The initiative aims to provide solace and hope through culture and art.
