SOOP Supers officially launch new women's volleyball team

The new women's professional volleyball team, SOOP Supers, officially launched its inaugural season following a ceremony held on October 3 at the SOOP Stadium in Jeonnam Gwangju. After acquiring the AI Peppers franchise in April, the club has focused on rapid roster reinforcement to prepare for the 2026-2027 V-League.

Led by head coach Kim Se-jin, the team has bolstered its lineup with foreign players Adriana Fitzmaurice and Yi Shue, alongside veteran domestic players Jeon Sae-yan, Song Eun-chae, and libero Han Da-hye. The club aims to overcome the typical challenges of a new team by building strong organizational cohesion and leveraging the leadership experience of Coach Kim.

The SOOP Supers are scheduled to make their competitive debut at the KOVO Cup in Yeosu on October 11. Their V-League season will officially begin with an away match against Heungkuk Life on November 1, followed by their first home game against Korea Expressway Corporation on November 5.
