Sophia Antipolis institutions achieve academic and cultural milestones

Eurecom, the engineering school and research center located in Sophia Antipolis, has entered the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for the first time. The institution secured the 231st position globally, placing it within the top five institutions in France. Notably, Eurecom is the only school in the French top five that is not part of the major Parisian university alliances.

In a separate development within the Sophia Antipolis ecosystem, the region will host its first-ever TEDx event on November 4, 2026. Organized by students from the SKEMA Business School entrepreneurship section under a 'Community Plus' license, the event titled ‘Architectures of the Improbable’ is expected to host nearly 500 participants. The program will cover four main pillars: business and entrepreneurship, science, sport, and art.
