Sophia Dunkley signs one-year deal with Sydney Sixers

England top-order batter Sophia Dunkley has signed a one-year contract with the Sydney Sixers for the upcoming Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL 12).

Dunkley, 28, joins the Australian side following her performance with the Trent Rockets in The Hundred. During her previous stint with the Sixers in WBBL 11, she scored 354 runs, making her the club’s second-highest run-scorer behind Ellyse Perry and helping the team reach the finals.

Sydney Sixers General Manager Rachael Haynes stated that securing Dunkley’s signature provides a significant boost to the club’s batting lineup. Dunkley, who has represented England since 2018, most recently competed in the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
