Sophia Florence reveals overcoming five-year vaping addiction

Sophia Florence, an 18-year-old influencer known as Soso Careca, has shared her experience overcoming a five-year addiction to electronic cigarettes (vapes) via a TikTok video. Florence stated that her addiction began at age 13 due to peer pressure at a party and intensified during an exchange program in Germany, where she purchased her own device.

Florence described the addiction as making her feel “dirty” and “impotent” because she had to hide the habit from her parents. She noted that she eventually decided to quit after experiencing a health scare involving coughing up blood. She credited her boyfriend, musician MC Paiva, for providing the necessary encouragement to stop. Florence reported that she has been free from the addiction for approximately three months.
