Sophianne Girard and Dany Brillant announce new musical projects

Jazz artist Sophianne Girard has announced the release of her second album, ‘Si vivante’, scheduled for October 23. The project, described as an ode to love and connection, features a blend of groove, minimalism, and modern Anglo-Saxon jazz. The album was developed over four years and is performed with a nonet.

Girard, a graduate of McGill and Sherbrooke universities, has upcoming performances scheduled in Sainte-Thérèse, Sherbrooke, and Rimouski throughout November.

In France, singer Dany Brillant is set to perform at the Complexe Cardabelle in Aveyron on October 24 as part of his ‘Best of tour’. The concert will feature hits from his thirty-year career, spanning French chanson, swing, and Latin rhythms. The event is organized by the association Vivons la Musique, led by André Damon, a former founder of the Parisian clubs Le Petit Journal Saint-Michel and Le Petit Journal Montparnasse.
