Sophos unifies security operations and compliance via integrated SIEM and XDR

The cybersecurity industry is seeing a convergence of security operations and compliance tools as organizations seek to streamline threat detection and response. Traditional methods often require moving data between separate XDR (Extended Detection and Response) and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solutions, creating fragmented workflows and high costs tied to data ingestion.

Sophos has introduced Sophos Fusion, a system designed to unify these capabilities. Following its acquisition of Secureworks in 2025, Sophos aims to provide a unified context lake where telemetry from both Sophos and third-party control points can be used to detect threats, investigate activity, and automate workflows. This approach seeks to bridge the gap between operational security and compliance requirements by using a shared data foundation.
