Sophos unveils AI‑native Fusion cybersecurity platform

Sophos announced Sophos Fusion, an AI‑native cybersecurity defense system that consolidates endpoint, firewall, identity, network, email, cloud, XDR and MDR functions into a single open architecture. The platform builds on the former Sophos Central and incorporates Secureworks Taegis analytics, offering a shared data lake, synchronized security actions and agentic AI that can resolve 52 % of incidents automatically with an average response time of 89 seconds.

The rollout will introduce new components such as Sophos Next‑Gen SIEM with ten‑year data retention, AI Defense for shadow‑AI visibility, and updated MDR and XDR service tiers. Existing customers face no immediate changes; the rebranding and feature extensions will be phased in from August to October 2026.
