Hungary’s multi‑city festivals and design show join Romania’s Kézdivásárhely digital lexicon launch

The Telekomosok Festival ran across five Hungarian locations from early July to early August, combining sport, music and digital experiences. Footballer Dominik Szoboszlai opened the first stop in Székesfehérvár, unveiling a 200 m² street‑ball portrait, presenting the Szoboszlai Cup and donating auction proceeds to the Fejér County Child Protection Centre. The programme featured street‑sports, hip‑hop battles, concerts and interactive digital installations.

During Sopron Design Week, the Made in Sopron exhibition opened on 28 June in the historic Papréti Orthodox Synagogue. Designers from the city invited peers from elsewhere in Hungary, showcasing furniture, jewellery, clothing and other objects. The opening included music by Laura Harrer and remarks from organisers emphasizing the theme of friendship.

In Romania, the Incze László Museum hosted a presentation of the Kézdivásárhely Lexikon’s online version. The volunteer‑run project already offers 260 entries covering local history, notable figures and landmarks, with municipal support for hosting and maintenance. Plans aim to expand to 800‑1000 articles and eventually produce a printed volume, fostering a wider Székely cultural network.
