SopronFest turns Hungarian town into week‑long music and cultural celebration

SopronFest has opened in Sopron, Hungary, offering close to 300 programmes over a full week. Events span concerts, exhibitions, gastronomy, podcasts, jazz, an amusement park and camping in the Lővérek forest. International acts include The Prodigy’s return after eight years, while Hungarian performers such as AZAHAR, Halott Pénz, and Wellhello appear on three main stages.

Special attractions feature the Telekom Secret Garden venue, a zipline disco built for the first time in the country, and a range of rides and a 30‑metre tower. The festival also highlights local wine and beer at the Poncichter Borfesztivál and runs city‑wide activities, from art exhibitions to literary talks, making the whole town a festive hub.

Visitors can camp in tents, caravans or pre‑set accommodations, and enjoy shared meals, a communal morning, and a family‑friendly atmosphere throughout the weekend.
