Sora political landscape shifts as opposition fades

The political landscape in Sora has undergone a significant transformation, characterized by the gradual disappearance of traditional political opposition. Under the administration of Mayor Luca Di Stefano, a cross-party governance model has effectively absorbed traditional political parties, turning the City Council into a body primarily focused on ratification rather than political confrontation.

This shift is evidenced by the absence of the three main candidates from the 2021 mayoral election in the current minority benches. Former mayor Roberto De Donatis exited the council following a percentage collapse in his coalition. Eugenia Tersigni, a civic candidate from the runoff, resigned due to incompatibilities with her provincial role, and Federico Altobelli has also withdrawn from the scene.
