Sorawong Thienthong to contest Sa Kaeo by-election

Sorawong Thienthong, Deputy Leader of the Pheu Thai Party, has expressed readiness to run in the upcoming by-election for Sa Kaeo Province, District 3. The by-election is being held to fill the vacancy left by the passing of former MP Surasak Chingnavarn.

Prasert Jantararuangtong, Minister of Education and Secretary-General of the Pheu Thai Party, indicated that the party intends to nominate Sorawong, noting his previous experience as a three-term MP in the area. Prasert emphasized that Sorawong has remained active in the constituency, particularly by assisting residents during recent flood situations.

While acknowledging a previous narrow margin in election results, Sorawong stated his goal is to serve as a voice for border residents who he believes have not received adequate assistance. The party plans to finalize the nomination through a formal resolution by the Pheu Thai executive committee.
