Soraya Intercine Films announces prequel to ‘5cm’

Soraya Intercine Films has announced the cast and details for ‘5cm: Revolusi Hati’, a prequel to the successful film ‘5cm’. The new production focuses on the character Zafran during his final year of junior high school, exploring his friendships and experiences before he meets the group of friends featured in the original movie.

Roman King will take over the role of young Zafran, a character previously portrayed by Herjunot Ali. The cast also includes Wironggo Vercaemer as Riko, Rachel Aseelah as Azizah, Olivia Morrison as Astri, Ali Fikry as Asep, and Bimasena as Ari Wibowo. Directed by Emil Heradi and produced by Sunil Soraya, the film aims to emphasize the emotional experiences and feelings of adolescence rather than just chronological events.

Production challenges include filming in marine ecosystems and managing unpredictable weather, as the script requires scenes involving storms at sea.
