Sorba Thomas escapes injury after car overturns near Hull City training ground

Hull City winger Sorba Thomas escaped injury after his Land Rover Defender overturned in a road accident near the club’s training ground in Cottingham on Friday morning. The incident occurred on Millhouse Woods Lane at approximately 08:30 BST.

Images of the grey vehicle, which was reportedly worth £60,000, circulating on social media showed the car on its roof with shattered windows. Hull City issued a statement confirming that the 27-year-old Wales international emerged from the vehicle “completely unscathed” and sustained no injuries.

Following the accident, Thomas was able to travel with his team to London and was named as a substitute for Hull City’s Premier League match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. During the match, which ended in a 2-2 draw, supporters sang a chant in his honor after he entered the game as a second-half substitute.
