Sorbent to acquire Stayfree and Carefree brands in ANZ

Sorbent Paper Company Pty Ltd has signed an agreement to acquire the Stayfree and Carefree feminine care businesses in Australia and New Zealand from a Singaporean subsidiary of Kenvue. This acquisition marks Sorbent’s entry into the feminine hygiene category, expanding its portfolio beyond its traditional tissue and paper products.

Upon completion of the transaction, Sorbent’s affiliate, Cottonsoft, will manage the New Zealand operations. The companies intend to utilize their existing local manufacturing, supply chains, and market expertise to support the development of the acquired brands.

The deal is subject to regulatory approvals in both Australia and New Zealand, as well as the completion of a separate transaction between Kimberly-Clark and Kenvue. Financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
