Sorgenia and CivicaMente launch RigeneraBoschi environmental program
Sorgenia and CivicaMente have launched RigeneraBoschi, a free online environmental education program for schools across Italy. The initiative aims to teach students about sustainable forest management and the role of forests in combating the climate crisis.
The program is designed for students in the final three years of primary school and the entire lower secondary cycle. It utilizes multidisciplinary materials to connect subjects such as science, geography, mathematics, and technology with environmental themes.
The curriculum is built upon data from the RigeneraBoschi project, which uses sensors to monitor the health and growth of seven representative Italian forests. This data is analyzed by a team led by Professor Giorgio Vacchiano from the University of Milan. Teachers can access these resources, including the interactive MolecoLab multimedia tool, through the Digital Education platform.
