Soria Cross Country retains World Athletics gold status

The 32nd edition of the Soria Cross Country, held at Valonsadero, will maintain its gold label within the World Athletics Cross Country Tour on November 15, 2026. This marks the 14th time the event has received the highest distinction and continues a streak of gold status held uninterrupted since 2018.

The competition serves as a critical preparation venue for athletes ahead of the European Cross Country Championships, scheduled for December 13 in Belgrade, Serbia. Maintaining this category requires meeting strict quality standards set by World Athletics regarding both athlete participation and spectator experience.
