Soria PP criticizes highway progress in Valladolid amid local infrastructure delays

The Partido Popular (PP) in Soria has criticized a recent event in Valladolid where Transport Minister Óscar Puente inaugurated 56 kilometers of the Autovía del Duero (A-11) alongside Carlos Martínez, the PSOE general secretary for Castilla y León and representative for Soria.

The PP argues that the perceived camaraderie between the officials contrasts with the lack of infrastructure progress in Soria. Specifically, the province remains without a definitive date for the start of works on its section of the A-11. The Los Rábanos-La Mallona stretch, which would connect the highway to the A-15, currently lacks an updated construction project. Under current timelines, a renewed document may not be available until 2028.

Critics point out that Minister Puente had previously guaranteed that all sections of the A-11 between Valladolid and Soria would be completed or under construction before the end of the current legislature in 2027, a commitment that current ministry timelines appear to contradict.
