Sorin Grindeanu intensifies attacks on Romanian government and minister Dragoș Pîslaru

PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu said the party’s main priority is the salary law and urged parliament to approve it quickly. He announced that the PSD is continuing legal actions against the Bolojan interim government, filing 12 preliminary complaints and 11 administrative lawsuits at the Bucharest Court of Appeal. Grindeanu accused interim premier Ilie Bolojan of approving a memorandum to unblock roughly 6,000 health‑sector posts without clear criteria and of overstepping authority by adopting the 2026‑2030 Biodiversity Strategy.

Grindeanu also launched a harsh verbal attack on political opponents, labeling them a “danger for Romania” and using epithets such as “pest” and “red plague.” He criticised interim Labour and European Funds Minister Dragoș Pîslaru for attending a team‑building event in Târgoviște while the health system was on strike and for a recent trip to Brussels, calling the minister’s behaviour unsuitable during nationwide protests.

In response, Dragoș Pîslaru replied with irony, comparing Grindeanu to Winston Churchill and mocking the former prime minister’s role in previous emergency decrees.
