Sorocaba completes two months of specialized bus services

The city of Sorocaba, through the Urbes transit agency, has completed two months of continuous operation for two specialized bus services: the 'Linha Rosa' (Pink Line) and the 'Ônibus Sensorial' (Sensory Bus).

The Linha Rosa is reserved exclusively for women and is operated by female drivers. Between August 19 and October 19, 2026, the service transported 29,088 women across 1,348 trips. The Sensory Bus is designed for people with disabilities, specifically those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their companions. During the same period, the sensory service carried 29,242 passengers in 1,348 trips.

Both services operate on the 100 – Expresso line between the Santo Antônio and São Paulo terminals during morning and afternoon peak hours. The initiative was implemented in partnership with the Municipal Secretariat for Women (Semul) and the Secretariat for Inclusion and Autism Spectrum Disorder (Sintea).
