Sorocaba expands mobile clinic “Médico na Praça” schedule for next week
The Prefeitura de Sorocaba, through its Secretaria da Saúde (SES), will continue the “Médico na Praça” mobile‑clinic program during the coming week. On Sunday (July 2) the service will be at Feira da Barganha, Alameda do Horto, from 08:00‑13:00. Monday (July 3) and Thursday‑Friday (July 6‑7) it will operate in the Jardim Ipiranga area on Avenida Américo Figueiredo, also from 08:00‑13:00 (14:00 on Thursday‑Friday). Tuesday (July 4) the clinic will be in Jardim Tulipas, Rua José Alves da Silva, from 08:00‑13:00, and Wednesday (July 5) it will join the “Quarta com Prefeito” event at the Paço Municipal, Avenida Engenheiro Carlos Reinaldo Mendes, from 08:00‑17:00.
The mobile unit provides free basic health checks – blood pressure, capillary glucose, vital‑signs measurement – as well as nursing care and physician consultations. It targets neighborhoods with higher social vulnerability or geographic barriers, aiming for early diagnosis of chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes and to strengthen the link between residents and the municipal health network.
