Sorocaba deploys mobile veterinary and medical units

The municipality of Sorocaba is expanding its mobile service offerings to improve access to essential health and animal welfare services. A mobile veterinary clinic will operate in the Lopes de Oliveira region from August 17 to 21, providing free preventive consultations, clinical evaluations, and health guidance for cats and dogs. The program prioritizes low-income families registered with CadÚnico.

Additionally, the 'Médico na Praça' initiative will provide medical care through a mobile clinic in various neighborhoods, including Jardim Nikkey, Carandá, Éden, and Parque dos Espanhóis. This program focuses on the early diagnosis of chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes for adults in vulnerable areas.

In the sports sector, Sorocaba is hosting the 'I Festibol – Festival de Minobol 4×4' at CEU das Artes. The tournament, designed to promote physical activity and social integration for individuals aged 40 and older, features minobol, a modified version of volleyball with reduced physical impact.

Meanwhile, in Rio das Ostras, the 'CastraMóvel' project will offer free animal neutering and veterinary guidance in Gelson Apicelo on August 18 and 19. Services must be scheduled in advance via the Colab application.
