Sorocaba Tourism Department Launches School Education Programs

The Secretaria do Turismo (Setur) of Sorocaba has opened registrations for three educational initiatives – Turismo Vai à Escola, Rolê and Descubra – for the second semester of 2026. The programmes use tourism as a learning tool, bringing students and teachers into contact with the city’s history, heritage, culture and economic potential. Since the start of 2026, Setur has carried out 27 actions with municipal and state schools, reaching hundreds of learners.

Secretary of Tourism Hudson Pessini said the projects aim to foster a sense of belonging and knowledge about Sorocaba while highlighting tourism as a driver of jobs and economic development. Schools can sign up via email turismo@sorocaba.sp.gov.br or by calling (15) 3233‑2043.
