Sorong–Waisai ship ticket rates to change in September

New passenger ticket rates for the Belibis ship on the Sorong–Waisai route will take effect on September 1, 2026. The adjustment was agreed upon during a meeting involving the Southwest Papua Provincial Government, the Raja Ampat Regency Government, and PT Belibis management.

Under the new policy, residents of Raja Ampat holding a local ID (KTP) will maintain the current economy class rate of Rp125,000 per person. For passengers without a Raja Ampat ID, the rate will increase to Rp175,000. International tourists will be charged a rate of Rp200,000 per person.

In addition to the price changes, the Belibis ship will return to a normal schedule of two trips per day, departing Sorong at 09:00 WIT and returning from Waisai at 14:00 WIT. Authorities will also tighten supervision, requiring all passengers to possess a valid ticket before boarding.
