Sorrento hotel assault: Moroccan man arrested for theft and sexual assault of Australian tourist

On 4 August 2026, a 37‑year‑old Moroccan man, staying irregularly in Italy, entered the room of an Australian tourist at a hotel on the Sorrento coast, claiming to be a cleaning staff member.
