Sorrento Peninsula faces water shortage and mobility crisis

The Sorrento Peninsula is facing simultaneous emergencies involving a water shortage and significant mobility disruptions. Families and local businesses have been left without water, while the closure of the Pozzano tunnel has severely impacted transportation throughout the territory.

Opposition councilor Stefano Marzuillo criticized the administration's response, highlighting the fragility of the local infrastructure. While the Mayor has implemented emergency measures—including water tankers, drinking fountains, chemical toilets, and prioritizing healthcare facilities—Marzuillo noted a lack of timely information and coordination for citizens during the crisis.
