Sorrento to host agricultural events and join G20Spiagge summit

Sorrento is set to participate in several key regional initiatives focused on tourism and agriculture. A delegation from the Municipality of Sorrento, led by Mayor Corrado Fattorusso, will attend the IX Destination Summit G20Spiagge in Lignano Sabbiadoro from September 23 to 25. This national summit brings together major Italian coastal destinations to address challenges such as climate change, sustainability, and the management of overcrowded locations. A central focus of the summit is the proposed law on Marine Communities, designed to provide coastal municipalities with better tools for planning and investment.

Additionally, Sorrento will host the ‘Notti Gialle di Sorrento’ from September 25 to 27. Organized by Coldiretti Napoli, this event focuses on the future of agriculture in the Sorrento Peninsula and the Monti Lattari. The three-day program includes street food, educational workshops at Villa Fiorentino, and discussions involving local agricultural leaders and regional officials to promote zero-kilometer products and innovation in the local food supply chain.
