Sorriso airport launches measles vaccination alert
Health authorities in Sorriso, Brazil, have launched a vaccination awareness campaign at the Adolino Bedin Regional Airport following confirmed cases of measles in the state of São Paulo.
In partnership with Infraero, the Strategic Information Center for Health Surveillance (CIEVS) is deploying teams to boarding and disembarking terminals to educate passengers on the importance of immunization. The initiative aims to prevent the rapid spread of highly transmissible pathogens through air travel.
Officials emphasize that the Triple Viral vaccine is the only effective way to prevent measles, mumps, and rubella. Travelers are being urged to visit local Basic Health Units (UBS) to verify their vaccination records and receive necessary boosters before traveling.
