Sorriso elderly care facility receives adapted transport van
The Lar Bem Viver institutional care service for the elderly in Sorriso, Mato Grosso, has received a new adapted van to facilitate the transport of its residents. The vehicle, valued at R$ 390,000, has a capacity for 15 passengers and is equipped with accessibility features for individuals with reduced mobility.
The acquisition was funded through resources made available by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Mato Grosso (MPMT) via the Bank of Projects and Entities (Bapre). During the official delivery ceremony, Prosecutor Márcio Florestan Berestinas highlighted the importance of the partnership between the Public Prosecutor's Office and the municipal government in supporting the elderly population.
Currently, Lar Bem Viver provides housing and comprehensive care for 10 elderly residents who lack family ties or have had them severed. Maintained by the City of Sorriso and managed by the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance, the facility offers multi-professional monitoring, health care, emotional support, and social protection.
