Sorriso Maroto launches 360° immersive stage at Salvador concert

Brazilian pagode group Sorriso Maroto debuted a 360‑degree stage on Saturday, March 1, at the Centro de Convenções Salvador (Parque dos Ventos). The circular platform places the band at the centre, surrounded by the audience, and required extensive technical planning for sound distribution, lighting, artist circulation and safety. Producer Cristóvão Neto of Grupo Onda explained that “the 360° format demands that all sides receive the same attention” and that the venue’s infrastructure was crucial for adapting the design.

The immersive setup aims to give every spectator a close, uniform view of the performance, reflecting a growing trend in Brazil toward experience‑focused live events. Neto added that “people want to live experiences,” suggesting the format could expand to other musical genres such as axé and arrocha.
