Brazil municipalities and federal agencies prepare 2027 fiscal plans
Various Brazilian municipalities and federal entities are undergoing fiscal planning and administrative updates for the 2027 cycle.
In Sorriso, the municipal administration projects a revenue of R$ 1.32 billion for 2027, an 18.6% increase from 2026 projections. In contrast, Novo Hamburgo has approved a Budgetary Guidelines Law (LDO) that projects a R$ 183 million deficit for 2027, representing approximately 8.4% of its estimated revenue.
Several cities, including Bragança Paulista, Sinop, and Cambé, are conducting public hearings to present fiscal goals and annual budget projects (PLOA) to ensure transparency and social control.
At the federal level, the 2027 PLOA includes revenue projections from registration fees for upcoming public service exams across various bodies, such as the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) and the Public Ministry of the Union (MPU). Additionally, the TRF5 has appointed representatives to a new social security intelligence observatory, and the 2027 budget includes provisions for new civil service and judicial exams for the TRF5.
In Conselheiro Lafaiete, local authorities are working to implement a registration system for motorcycle taxi and delivery professionals to improve municipal oversight.
