Sosina Reservoir parking revenues increase in Jaworzno

Parking revenues at the Sosina Reservoir in Jaworzno have seen a significant increase following changes to the parking system. The Municipal Center for Culture and Sport (MCKiS) implemented measures, including the placement of logs, to prevent roadside parking on Bukowska Street and tighten the paid parking zone.

Official data indicates that between May and the end of August 2026, total net parking income reached 661,988.62 PLN. This represents an increase of over 166,000 PLN compared to the same period in 2025, when revenues totaled 495,516.71 PLN. The highest weekly revenue was recorded between August 4 and August 10, 2026, bringing in 99,345.53 PLN net.

While the measures have increased municipal income, they have faced criticism from local residents. Some visitors have expressed frustration over the loss of free spaces, stating they may seek alternative locations or different entry points to avoid the fees for short walks.
