Sosteneo and ENOVA launch German wind energy platform

Sosteneo SGR, a part of Generali Investments, has partnered with ENOVA to establish ENOVA Generation GmbH, a new wind energy platform in Germany. As part of the deal, ENOVA Value has transferred a portfolio of eleven onshore wind farms with a total capacity of approximately 350 MW to the new entity.

Sosteneo holds a majority stake in the new platform, marking the first investment from its second flagship fund, Fund II. ENOVA will remain a minority shareholder and will continue to manage the operational aspects, project execution, and coordination of the portfolio. The portfolio currently consists of assets that are 40% operational and 60% under construction or nearing final investment decisions.

The partnership aims to expand the portfolio to a target of up to 1 GW. This strategic move is intended to leverage ENOVA’s local expertise in wind energy repowering alongside Sosteneo’s infrastructure investment capabilities to support Germany’s energy transition.
