Sosyalfest Bilim Derneği receives 600,000 lira grant for youth project

The Sosyalfest Bilim Derneği has been awarded a 600,000 lira grant to implement a youth development project focused on volunteering, leadership, and social innovation. The funding was provided by the Ministry of Interior's General Directorate of Relations with Civil Society as part of the 2026 project period.

A protocol agreement was signed in Karabük by Sosyalfest Bilim Derneği President Prof. Dr. Hasan Solmaz, in the presence of Karabük Deputy Governor Kerem Süleyman Yüksel and Karabük University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Solmaz. The project, coordinated by Serranur Özdemir, includes the International Youth Association as a stakeholder.

Targeting individuals aged 18 to 29, the initiative aims to provide online training to 380 volunteers. Planned activities include local outreach, literacy meetings, the Karabük Volunteer Camp, and cultural excursion programs. The project seeks to strengthen cooperation between public institutions, universities, and non-governmental organizations while empowering youth to lead social responsibility initiatives.
