Sotouboua communities gather to promote development and social cohesion
The Sotouboua region in Togo is hosting significant community events focused on local development and social cohesion. In Boualé-Egbamdè, residents held their 10th annual reflection day to discuss strategies for sustainable growth. Key priorities identified include modernizing agricultural practices—specifically integrating farming with livestock to reduce waste—and improving educational engagement by encouraging families to keep children in school.
Simultaneously, the prefecture celebrated the 7th edition of the Kiyèna-Foudoulém-Rodjoubi festival. This cultural event, centered around the yam as a symbol of labor and tradition, brought together the Kabyè, Tem/Kotokoli, and Naouda communities. Representing President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, Minister of Territorial Administration Colonel Awaté Hodabalo presided over the ceremony, urging the diverse populations to use social cohesion and mutual respect as drivers for inclusive local development.
