Sou do Esporte Award to honor Brazilian sports diversity

The 11th edition of the Sou do Esporte Foco Radical Award is scheduled for November 30 at Sala São Paulo. The ceremony will feature more than 30 categories, recognizing a wide range of participants in the Brazilian sports industry, including athletes, executives, brands, and social projects.

Pentacampeão Cafu will be the primary honoree of the evening, with judoka Rafael Baby serving as the master of ceremonies. The event will be broadcast by BandSports.

The 2026 edition introduces several new categories to reflect the diversity of the sector, such as Military Athlete, Indigenous Athlete, Master Athlete, Rodeo Athlete, Sports Documentary, Arenas & Stadiums, and the Third Sector. Fabiana Bentes, founder and president of the Instituto Sou do Esporte, stated that the expansion aims to showcase the variety within the industry, bringing together communication, entertainment, and different sporting manifestations.

Indigenous leader Marcos Terena highlighted the importance of the new Indigenous Athlete category, noting that indigenous sports serve to preserve culture, language, and territory.
